When people call us up they are grumpy that their computer isn’t working properly.  It’s a total interruption to their day.  They want it fixed immediately (ideally) and they don’t want to have to pay (ideally).

Backing up – something we all know we should be doing – but does it happen?  And are you backing up everything that is important to you?  Would you be reduced to tears if you lost all of your email and filed email?  What about your favourites or bookmarks in your browser?  Do you keep valuable notes in your NotePad or ScrapBook or Stickies?  These are just examples of the sort of things people forget about, until they lose their hard drive and then it’s too late.
